DIRA serves as LAU’s official source for validated institutional data. We compile, analyze, and contextualize information on students, faculty, staff, academic programs, and key operational functions. Our responsibilities include preparing LAU’s official statistics, supporting accreditation and compliance requirements, and producing dashboards, trend analyses, planning tools, and comparative studies.

In addition to scheduled reports, we respond to a wide range of ad hoc data and analysis requests from leadership, academic schools, and administrative units. These tailored analyses support strategic initiatives, program reviews, operational planning, and urgent decision-making needs across the University.

Our analytics projects integrate multiple data sources, apply rigorous statistical methods, and translate complex findings into actionable recommendations. Topics span enrollment, student outcomes, academic performance, post-graduation trajectories, research activity, operational efficiency, and equity and inclusion.

DIRA leads the planning and implementation of major university-wide surveys that help LAU understand and improve the student experience, academic quality, and institutional effectiveness. Our work spans a wide range of survey initiatives, including Course Evaluation Questionnaires, Exit and Alumni Surveys, Employer and Labor-Market Surveys, as well as selected external instruments such as the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).

We manage the full survey cycle—design, sampling, administration, analysis, and reporting—ensuring rigorous methods and alignment with institutional priorities. Additionally, DIRA offers expert consultation to schools and administrative units on survey design, question development, sampling strategies, and interpretation of findings.
